I have been meaning to share this peppered fish on the blog for a. Fish is a healthy form of protein, unfortunately some people like myself have a food aversion to fish and most seafood which I have been trying to work on lately after. Salt and Pepper fish is traditionally battered and deep-fried. Instead, pan-seared filets get plenty of texture and flavor from ginger, caramelized scallions, and lots of freshly ground black pepper.
Steps to make Peppered fish :
- Wash the tilapia fish with lemon(lemon juice is a remedy for removing fish odor).
- Season with salt and allow to dry then dip fry inside hot oil untill done keep aside.
- Grate red bell pepper,scotch bonnet and onion.
- Get a big frying pan or pot and wash heat up oil add onion and saute.
- Pour in your tomato pepper mix and fry for some minutes.
- Add in ginger and garlic paste,black pepper, seasoning,curry,thyme,lil salt and the chopped onions stir.
- Put the fish inside the sauce and stir gently,reduce the heat so that the sauce will enter the fish well cover for some minutes.
- Then turn the other side of the fish gently to prevent it from breaking cover and allow for 5-7 minutes ~ulala serve and enjoy!😋.
